Chalazion

*Small painless swelling away from eyelid margin.

*It is a chronic infection of meibomian gland.

Treatment :-

Small Chalazion can go away without treatment.

Home remedy :-

1) local fomentation .

2) Diluted turmeric water eye wash.

*For modarate size Chalazion :-

Intralesional Triamcinolone Acetonide injection (0.2 ml from conjunctival surface by insulin syringe .)

Before giving injection local anaesthesia must be given.

For local anaesthesia , Xylocain used.

* For large size :- 

Incision and drainage must be done.
